The
Ethikon Institute, a non-profit
organization, organizes
dialogue-conferences and
publishes comparative studies on ethical
issues of current importance. Its
publications explore a range of moral
outlooks, secular and religious, and
seek
to clarify areas of consensus and
divergence among them.
Its method is to engage experts
on diverse moral traditions to research
the issues and write book chapters
responding to a common set of
topic-related
questions from those particular
standpoints. By encouraging a systematic
exchange of ideas, the Institute aims to
advance the prospects for
cross-tradition agreement and to
facilitate the accommodation of
irreducible
differences. |
